The Golden "ticket" !

Finding the exact, beautiful, golden, paper-lining  used in the famous 1960s-1970s bouzoukia!

During an attempt to historically restore (down to the T) a  beautiful three course 1960s-1970s Zozef Terzivasian bouzouki, (with the help of the master luthier and friend  Chris Pantazelos) , the necessity to remove the old , golden paper lining of the inner bowl ( so the black walnut bowl can be reinforced ),brought me face to face with a common difficult obstacle .

The production of the famous, diamond /square patterned, golden -paper, which extensively used by the most famous Greek bouzouki makers (Zozef Terzivasian. Onnik Tsakirian etc) during the 1960s and 1970s era, has long been discontinued !

Zozef Terzivasian's  original label, next to the new golden paper

As much and as intensively I researched for months , it became impossible to locate a remaining small batch of that beautiful old golden pattern. I asked also reputable luthiers' in Greece but they were facing the same obstacle and limitation. I expanded my research overseas without any luck.

New golden paper for lining inside the bowl, same as the original 1960s golden paper.

In the end, hard work and perseverance paid off !

The beautiful golden paper, with the famous 1960s-1970s diamond/square pattern, is finally in my possession! And by having enough inventory on hand, this hard to find paper is now also available for purchase
I will also fulfill orders to Greece and Europe. (Due to shipment charges I would recommend buying larger quantity for orders to Europe/Greece)

The famous golden paper lining, in my opinion, (apart from the historical/restoration reasons), is one of the most attractive lining papers on the market for your new musical instruments also.

Give back to your musical instruments (new or restored),  the glamor of the 1960s golden age !
Restore your small treasures, historically, down to the T, by the use of the same lining paper applied by the most famous Greek luthiers of a bygone era!

Details of the famous design on the new stock

Depending on the individual sheet of paper and the printing / embossed force which was used, someone may find slight differences between sheets, especially on the way that the golden paper reflects under a light source.

Some sheets are older stock, some others newer stock
Here a comparison to the original paper removed by a Zozef Terzivasian bouzouki
