Zozef Terzivasian mid to late 1960s three course bouzouki
When an old photograph comes alive!
A hard to find three course mid to late 1960s Zozef Terzivasian bouzouki, has finally been restored back to perfection, by the talented luthier and friend Chris Pantazelos ( http://spartaninstruments.com/)
Hard to find not due to its decoration, (which was a common theme of 1970s Zozef Terzivasian bouzoukia ), but due to the fact this is a rare three course Zozef bouzouki, and carries the older luthier's label with the daisy flowers boarder, and without the telephone number printed.
Due to the above factors, the bouzouki's construction is estimated approx. mid to late 1960s
But the main reason why this bouzouki is "somehow" unique, comes from an old black and white photograph of the master luthier Zozef, holding an identical three course bouzouki !
Only few photographs of the master luthier are surviving nowadays. One of them, is an early 1970s photograph with Zozef inside his workshop
With a close digital analysis of the photograph, the bouzouki clearly appears to be a three course
This beautiful three course bouzouki with a straight like an arrow neck!
Accordingly to the luthier Chris Pantazelos , the bouzouki has a light and solid construction, producing the characteristic Zozef Terzivasian 1960s desirable sound timbre.
Once again, Chris delivered an outstanding restoration ! Soon we will hear its crystal sound, reviving in a way the black and white photograph of Zozef's workshop !
