Zozef Terzivasian late 1950s early 1960s bouzouki
The long delay paid off!
A hard to find, four course, late 1950s -early 1960s authentic Zozef Terzivasian bouzouki, has finally been restored back to perfection, by the talented luthier and friend Chris Pantazelos (https://www.spartaninstruments.com/index.html )
Possibly an older Zozef Terzivasian's three course bouzouki, which converted later by Zozef, and perhaps owner's request, to four course bouzouki.
The instrument carries the authentic 1950s-1960s Zozef Terzivasian bridge, usually seen on custom Zozef bouzoukia of that era (Tsitanis Zozef bouzouki/ Kaldaras Zozef bouzouki) The soundboard carries a slight "mandolin style" step close to the bridge area, a characteristic on the construction of early bouzoukia.
Perhaps the most delayed restoration up to now, due to shipment delays from the West Coast (due to Corvid -19 pandemic), for the creation of exact replicas for some of the beautiful and unique original, natural white sea shell Zozef fret-markers.
Once again, Chris delivered an outstanding restoration!
At the end of the restoration , the luthier revived the instruments old varnish, with new layers of Shellac application with muneca, also called rubber ( French polishing)
