Early 1960s Zozef Terzivasian
Master grade three course bouzouki !
An early 1960s Zozef Terzivasian Master Grade , three course bouzouki was recently restored by my friend and talented luthier Chris Pantazelos in MA
This musical instrument belongs to Andrea, son of a musician who was the original owner. Andrea doesn’t play bouzouki,( he plays rather guitar ) but for him, the instrument has a priceless emotional value, since was his father’s beloved bouzouki.
This Zozef bouzouki carries all the “copyright” elements which rank it to the top list of bouzouki instruments constructed from start till the end, by Terzivasian.
The exact date of its construction is uknown , but Zozef Terzivasian started to stamp his bouzouki instruments after 1963-65.
The bouzouki carries two stamps behind the headstock, and two stamps on the back of the capping strip
Even though, the woods and materials which Zozef Terzivasian used for the creation of his Master grade bouzoukia were cheap and ordinary, their sound quality and unique sound timbre, became the reason that his bouzoukia played by the most famous soloist and musicians, and recorded by the majority of Greek record companies from 1950s until 1970s-1980s
