The hummingbird and the flower - Part II

Walking on the Tropic of Cancer !         

The new and unique custom bouzouki commission,  has started to be implemented !

This time, the demanding design and the completion of the bouzouki construction, falls into the talented hands of a promising young luthier from Cyprus, Savvas Miltiadou (https://bouzoukicy.com ) . 

The decoration of this latest bouzouki is inspired by a hummingbird and the tropical flowers found in the Caribbean islands. The design follows the Golden ratio logarithm.

Shades of green, yellow, and fuchsia  blend harmoniously into an unusual composition, revealing  the moment when the hummingbird is approaching to drink the flower's nectar. 

A special order of acrylic pearl sheets from UK was necessary, for successfully capturing the unique colors of the decoration.

Highest quality of white sea-shell has also been used for the creation of the sound hole, the feathers of the hummingbird , and the soundboard trim.

A unique decoration for the side capping strips of the bowl (not shown yet here) , and the headstock is also under development.
