The hummingbird and the flower - Part IV
A unique design and an immaculate construction ‘
The talented luthier Savvas Miltiadou (https://bouzoukicy.com ), sent me today the final photographs of his latest three course bouzouki creation.
I was pleased to follow Savva's beautiful journey creating this small masterpiece!
The soundboard was constructed with Master AAA German Sitka spruce, the decoration with natural white sea-shell and pearl acrylics, the sound-hole with natural white sea-shell, and the soundboard trim with white plastic filets and natural white sea-shell.
The luthier used AAA quality ebony wood for the creation of the fretboard, and a combination of natural white sea-shell and a small amount of pearl acrylic, for the creation of the fret markers
Savva's used natural and dyed walnut wood for the bowl creation, with double fillets separating the staves. The decoration of the side capping strips was made with pearl acrylics
Finally, the decoration of the headstock was made by pearl acrylics following the flower theme of the soundboard.
The luthier delivered an exceptional quality of musical instrument, combining a solid construction, great attention to details, and an immaculate finish
Stay tuned as during the following weeks the luthier will record its sound quality!
