In your opinion, are people born with a genuine talent or is it molded by experience?

Starting, I would like to thank you for your words as well as for your invitation.
I certainly feel that talent is molded but in order to develop it, you must have it. You are born with it...

When did you first feel that the bouzouki was something more for you than just a musical instrument?
M. Paouris
I felt it from the first time .It was revealed from the first courses I took as a student . I always was searching for other roads and other styles.

At what age did you realize that you had a very unique talent? A talent that separated you from all the others students.
M. Paouris
When I was nine years old, my teacher told me a lie. He heard me playing a Manolis Chiotis song fast and said:
"Do not play fast !!! Chiotis always played slowly and then put the record on fast speed"
The next day I played the song of Manolis Chiotis " The Flame " with the metronome at 280
From then on, everyone referred to me as a prodigy!

" If you leave the instrument (bouzouki) a day without study, it will leave you twice as much."

This is exactly correct. Although I have not experienced it, for most people that is the case

At the beginning, how much time did you dedicate to study?
M. Paouris
I always say the quality of study is everything .. I never went over 3-4 hours, but during that time it was of great quality and rigor.

What inspired you from these two great artists? What did you keep ?
M. Paouris
I kept everything. I was inspired by the decisions they took for great artistic and life changes. When M. Chiotis made the big change (in bouzouki-and music), he taught us that everyone should concern and care for the evolution, the progress, achieving always the best.

The music has "no limits" ... the bouzouki has limits?
M. Paouris
The bouzouki is a musical instrument which plays (produces) music.With other words the bouzouki play something which has no limit (-the music-). How then can we apply limits to a musical instrument?
I believe that the issue is rather the aesthetics, in what ever someone is doing with a musical instrument . I for example, play with my bouzouki, jazz worldwide. And the fact that the audience accepts this attempt, means something.The people are the ones who put barriers and boundaries. The musical instruments just await for their orders ...

The great musicians of the old rebetiko / Greek folk music era, were also great composers (Tsitsanis Vamvakaris, Papaioannou, Chiotis, Chatzichristos etc.) They created for the future generations a huge music heritage
Today there are many virtuoso players ... but few only compose, and even fewer are recognized as
music composers ... What you think is the reason for this phenomenon ?
M. Paouris
The reason is that most of them are not really interested regarding music.The truth is that when you make a lot of money as a performer in discography or in the night-clubs, you lose the primary meaning and scope, which is the music. But this phenomenon harms greatly the new generations.
The above mentioned group of soloists are interested only for the money. Art is something completely different.

I quickly acknowledged a purely beautiful , strong voice with a clear folk timbre

I sing just for fun ... For personal pleasure, without giving great importance. Of course people who have heard me sing, always encourage me to sing ...but for now I do not give them the pleasure to do so :)

I would not call it virtuosity/craftsmanship. It is a narrow term as it is for example the speed. I would call it "technique". The technique hides all kind of goods which manifests appropriately depending on the circumstances.
And the slow play is technical ... All of the dynamics exist inside the technique. The musicality is another thing. It is the knowledge and the experiences. This is the perfect combination

I've heard sound clips of yours on you-tube, where I can recognize points of this " impurity "

There are no signs of "impurity". If from the 10,000,000 notes the 100 do not have the clarity, then I think that the criticism has feasibility ... I'm human. Not a robot. Otherwise all we would "enter/pass-through " ( we would use) the Midi software. The 100% of my play is spotless. I believe that fair and complete critique can only make someone, by hearing my records or participate in one of my live appearances on stage ... Otherwise, if someone expects that YouTube will give him the perfect picture and quality for an artist , then he loses the whole point

On the other hand, I have heard you playing a fast music composition ,and while in actual velocity the notes sound to my ears as buzzing and without clarity, when I played the track at half of the original speed through a sound-editing program, I heard all of the notes crystal clear

This is not correct. Obviously you are not listening something well.
Only the fact that you are entering in the process to drop the original track speed to half, means that you can not decode and understand what you hear.

I've also heard you playing with great clarity old rembetika and laika, and other times when you compose under the influence of jazz rhythms and sounds, the notes mutate to metallic and dull

I would recommend you to better listen my records. You will easily conclude the reality without the need for any further effort. You know, it's very easy to say that this player is not "clean" (without clarity in his notes) ... But in fact this is not the case. I've played with great and famous musicians. .. they would never accept to play with someone who is a "dirty player"( without clarity in his notes). Trust me on this ..

Ultimately, is your style - playing a more jazz influenced style,- the reason why some people criticize as "unclean playing;"?

Whatever is the case, for me is enough that even tho, they do not understand what they listen, nevertheless they judge me with great comfort ..

Three course players against four course players. At the end why this separation for an instrument which has been loved so much? Did you feel this separation from other musicians , at some point in your career ?

I feel it constantly . I have been criticized by the majority of three course bouzouki players . As also from some four course bouzouki players. Certainly my "fanatic" fans are many more than the ones who criticize me. But I was extremely devastated when I heard a famous bouzouki player with great career (an older bouzouki player who is still alive) accusing Manolis Chiotis....I could not believe my ears !!!

The musician must have free spirit. This path will give purity into his soul, and wider love for everybody.

To study and listen everything. To not put in his/her life any musical limitations . To always study with gnomon the "must" and with the "dreams" as a supply in his/her life

Ξεκινώντας θα ήθελα να σας ευχαριστήσω για τα λόγια σας καθώς και για την πρόσκλησή σας. Σίγουρα το ταλέντο πλαθεται αλλά για να το αναπτύξεις πρέπει να το έχεις. Γεννιεσαι με αυτό...
Ποτε για πρώτη φορα αισθανθήκατε πως το μπουζούκι ήταν κάτι περισσότερο για εσάς από ένα απλά μουσικό όργανο?
Αυτό το ένιωσα από την πρώτη στιγμή.. Η μαθητικη μου πορεία αυτό φανέρωνε. Πάντα έψαχνα άλλους δρόμους και άλλα στυλ.
Σε πια ηλικία καταλάβατε πως είχατε ένα ξεχωριστό ταλέντο που σας ξεχώριζε από τους άλλους συμμαθητές?
Στα 9 μου χρόνια... Όταν κάποιος δάσκαλος μου είπε ένα ψέμα για τον χιωτη επειδή με άκουσε να παιζω γρήγορα. Μου είπε: "Μη παίζεις γρήγορα!!! Ο χιωτης τα έπαιζε αργά και μετά έβαζε τον δίσκο στο γρήγορο..." και την επόμενη ημέρα έπαιξα τη "Φλόγα" του χιωτη στο 280.... Την επόμενη ημέρα! Από εκεί και μετά με έβγαλαν παιδί θαύμα.
Ο γνωστός ρεμπέτης Γιώργος Μαντέλης μου είχε πει κάποτε, πως εάν αφήσεις το όργανο (μπουζούκι) μια μέρα χωρίς μελέτη, εκείνο θα σε αφήνει δυο, θέλοντας να δώσει έμφαση στη μελέτη
Έτσι ακριβώς είναι. Δεν το έχω νιώσει αλλά στους περισσότερους ανθρώπους συμβαίνει.
¨Ποσες ώρες στα πρώτα βήματα σας φτάσατε να μελετάται?
Πάντα έλεγα η ποιοτική μελέτη είναι το παν.. Δεν ξεπέρασα ποτέ τις 3-4 ώρες. Αλλά η μελέτη ήταν ποιοτική και αυστηρή.

Τι κρατήσατε από τους δυο αυτούς μεγάλους καλλιτέχνες ? Τι σας έπνευσε σε αυτούς του δυο?
Κράτησα τα πάντα. Με ενέπνευσαν οι αποφάσεις που πήραν για τος μεγάλες αλλαγές και καλλιτεχνικά αλλά και σαν άνθρωποι... Όταν ο χιωτης έκανε τη μεγάλη αλλαγή μας δίδαξε ότι όλοι πρέπει να παλεύουμε για την εξέλιξη και το καλύτερο.
Συνεργαστήκατε με μεγάλους μουσικοσυνθέτες εντός και εκτος Ελλάδας. Ποια συνεργασία θα μείνει για μια ζωή στη μνήμη σας και γιατί?

Η μουσική δεν έχει όρια...το μπουζούκι έχει?
Το μπουζούκι είναι μουσικό όργανο που παιζει μουσικη. Δηλαδή παίζει κάτι που δεν έχει όριο. Πως θα βάλουμε όριο λοιπόν σε ένα όργανο;; Το θέμα είναι η αισθητική σε ο,τι κάνεις. Εγώ με το μπουζούκι μου παίζω τζαζ σε όλο τον κόσμο. Οπότε αφού το αποδέχεται ο κόσμος κάτι σημαίνει αυτό. Οι άνθρωποι βάζουμε τους φραγμούς και τα όρια. Τα όργανα περιμένουν τις εντολές...
Οι παλαιοί μεγάλοι οργανοπαίχτες του ρεμπέτικου /λαϊκού ήταν και μεγάλοι συνθετες ( Τσιτσάνης, Βαμβακάρης, Παπαϊωάννου, Χιώτης, Χατζηχρήστος κτλ)που μας άφησαν τεραστια μουσική κληρονομιά
Σήμερα υπάρχουν μεγάλοι και πολλοί δεξιοτέχνες..λίγοι όμως συνθέτουν και πολλοί λιγότεροι αναγνωρίζονται ως μουσικοσυνθέτες...Ποιος νομίζεται είναι ο λόγος?
Ο λόγος είναι ότι δεν τους ενδιαφέρει πραγματικά η μουσική. Η αλήθεια είναι ότι όταν παίρνεις πολλά χρήματα σαν εκτελεστής στη δισκογραφία και στα κέντρα, χάνεις το πρωταρχικό νόημα που είναι η μουσική. Αυτό όμως κάνει μεγάλο κακό στις καινούργιες γενιές. Κοιτούν το χρήμα μόνο. Η τέχνη είναι άλλο πράγμα και δεν το κάνουν..
Κατά τύχη άκουσα ένα δικό σας τραγούδι σας στο οποιο τραγουδάτε και αναγνώρισα μια καθαρά λαϊκή και όμορφη-δυνατή χροιά
Το τραγούδι το κάνω για πλάκα... Για προσωπική ευχαρίστηση χωρίς να του δίνω μεγάλη σημασία. Βέβαια ο κόσμος θέλει πολύ να τραγουδάω αλλά προς το παρόν του χαλάω το χατήρι :)
Τελικά το ταλέντο στη μουσική επικτείνεται πέρα από την δεξιοτεχνία σας σε μουσικά όργανα?
Εγώ δεν το ονομάζω δεξιοτεχνία. Είναι στενός όρος όπως και η ταχύτητα. Εγώ το ονομάζω ως τεχνική. Η τεχνική κρύβει μέσα της όλα τα αγαθά και τα φανερώνεις ανάλογα με την περίσταση. Και το αργό παιξιμο είναι τεχνικό... Όλες οι δυναμικές είναι μέσα στην τεχνική. Η μουσικοτητα είναι άλλο πράγμα. Είναι η γνώση και τα βιωματα. Αυτός ο συνδυασμός είναι ο τέλειος. Τεχνική - Γνώση – Βιώματα.
Πολλοί είναι οι φανατικό οπαδοί σας,,,πολλοί επίσης και οι κατακριτές σας
Οι αντιτιθέμενοι -στην αντίπερα όχθη- μιλούν για ταχύτητα χωρίς καθαρότητα. Έχω ακούσει sound clips στα οποια διακρίνω τα σημεία μη καθαρότητας
Δεν υπάρχουν σημεία "μη καθαρότητας". Αν σε 10.000.000 νότες δεν είναι καθαρές οι 100 τότε πιστεύω ότι η κριτική έχει σκοπιμότητα... Είμαι άνθρωπος. Όχι ρομπότ. Διαφορετικά θα μπαίνουμε όλοι στο midi. Το 100% του παιξιματος μου είναι πεντακάθαρο. Απόλυτη κριτική θα κάνει κάποιος μόνο αν ακούσει τους δίσκους μου ή βρεθεί σε ένα από τα live μου... Διαφορετικά αν περιμένει ότι το YouTube θα του δώσει την τέλεια ποιότητα εικόνας για έναν καλλιτέχνη τότε κάτι χάνει στην όλη ουσία.
Από την άλλη έχω ακούσει ταχύτατο κλιπ στο οποιο παίζεται και ενώ στην πραγματική του ταχύτητα οι notes ακούγονται να κάνουν buzzing και να μην είναι καθαρές, όταν το κομμάτι παιχτεί στη μιση του ταχύτητα μέσω πραγράμματος ήχου, οι νοτες ακούγονται καθαρότατες
Δεν ισχύει αυτό. Προφανώς κάτι δεν ακούτε καλά. Μόνο και μόνο ότι μπαίνετε στη διαδικασία να ρίξετε την ταχύτητα του κομματιού αυτό σημαίνει ότι δεν προλαβαίνετε να κάνετε αποκωδικοποίηση αυτού που ακούτε και να το κατανοήσετε.
Επίσης έχω ακούσει να παίζεται παλαιά λαϊκά και ρεμπέτικα τραγούδια καθαρότατα, και άλλες φορες όταν "ακροβατείτε" σε ρυθμους και influence jazz οι ήχοι από τις νοτες να μεταλλάσσονται σε μεταλλικούς και θαμπούς
Καλύτερα ακούστε τους δίσκους μου. Θα δείτε την πραγματικότητα χωρίς κόπο. Ξέρετε, ειναι πολύ εύκολο να πούμε ότι αυτός δεν είναι καθαρός... Αλλά στη πραγματικότητα δεν ισχύει. Έχω παίξει με τεραστιου μεγέθους μουσικους.. Δεν θα έπαιζαν ποτέ με κάποιον βρώμικο παιχτη. Πιστέψτε με...
Τελικά είναι τρόπος παιξίματος με περισσότερο τζαζ influense αυτό που κάποιοι σας κατακρίνουν ως "μη καθαρό παίξιμο?"
Οτι και αν είναι μου αρκεί το ότι δεν καταλαβαίνουν αυτό που ακούν αλλά παρ'όλ'αυτά κρίνουν με άνεση...
Τρίχορδοι εναντίων "τερτραχορδον"..τελικά γιατί αυτός ο διαχωρισμός για ένα όργανο που έχει αγαπηθεί τόσο πολύ ? Νιώσατε κάποια στιγμή στην καριέρα σας αυτόν τον διαχωρισμό από άλλους μουσικους?
Το νιώθω συνέχεια. Ένα μεγάλο ποσοστό τριχορδων με κατακρινουν. Όπως και μερικοί τετραχορδοι. Βέβαια οι φανατικοί μου θαυμαστές είναι πολλοί περισσότεροι από αυτούς. Έπεσα όμως από τα σύννεφα όταν άκουσα έναν πασίγνωστο μπουζουξη με μεγάλη καριέρα (μεγάλο σε ηλικία ο οποίος ζει) να κατηγορεί τον χιωτη... Δεν πίστευα στα αυτιά μου!!!
Ποιος έιναι ο καλύτερος κατά τι γνώμη σας μουσικός? Όχι ονομαστικά αλλα τι αρετές και τι "skills" θα πρέπει να έχει ο καλός μουσικός?
Ο μουσικός πρέπει να έχει ελεύθερο πνεύμα. Αυτή η οδός θα του χαρίσει καθαρότητα ψυχής και ευρύτερη αγάπη για όλους.
Τι θα συμβουλεύατε το μικρό παιδί που τώρα κάνει τα πρώτα βήματα του στο μπουζούκι και την μουσική?
Να μελετά και να ακούει τα πάντα. Να μη βάλει στη ζωή του μουσικές απαγορεύσεις. Να λειτουργεί με το "πρέπει" στη μελέτη και με τα όνειρα στη ζωή.
Ποια είναι τα μελλοντικά σχέδια τόσο στην σύνθεση με το μπουζούκι όσο και στην επαγγελματική καριέρα σας ? Κάποιες συναυλίες στο εξωτερικό και την Αμερική;

This is not correct. Obviously you are not listening something well.
Only the fact that you are entering in the process to drop the original track speed to half, means that you can not decode and understand what you hear.

I would recommend you to better listen my records. You will easily conclude the reality without the need for any further effort. You know, it's very easy to say that this player is not "clean" (without clarity in his notes) ... But in fact this is not the case. I've played with great and famous musicians. .. they would never accept to play with someone who is a "dirty player"( without clarity in his notes). Trust me on this ..

Three course players against four course players. At the end why this separation for an instrument which has been loved so much? Did you feel this separation from other musicians , at some point in your career ?

I feel it constantly . I have been criticized by the majority of three course bouzouki players . As also from some four course bouzouki players. Certainly my "fanatic" fans are many more than the ones who criticize me. But I was extremely devastated when I heard a famous bouzouki player with great career (an older bouzouki player who is still alive) accusing Manolis Chiotis....I could not believe my ears !!!

Independently from the opinion which someone can form regarding the talented soloist and musician Michael Paouris, the truth is that no one can deny his great talent as a soloist and musician, the great knowledge of music he possesses, and the great passion he has for what he loves the most..exploring new horizons and different styles with his greatest love...his bouzouki!
Even though I am an old rebetiko enthusiast, I cant deny that I am amazed by the following analysis of M.Paouris on a Vasilis Tsistanis song!

Ξεκινώντας θα ήθελα να σας ευχαριστήσω για τα λόγια σας καθώς και για την πρόσκλησή σας. Σίγουρα το ταλέντο πλαθεται αλλά για να το αναπτύξεις πρέπει να το έχεις. Γεννιεσαι με αυτό...
Ποτε για πρώτη φορα αισθανθήκατε πως το μπουζούκι ήταν κάτι περισσότερο για εσάς από ένα απλά μουσικό όργανο?
Αυτό το ένιωσα από την πρώτη στιγμή.. Η μαθητικη μου πορεία αυτό φανέρωνε. Πάντα έψαχνα άλλους δρόμους και άλλα στυλ.
Σε πια ηλικία καταλάβατε πως είχατε ένα ξεχωριστό ταλέντο που σας ξεχώριζε από τους άλλους συμμαθητές?
Στα 9 μου χρόνια... Όταν κάποιος δάσκαλος μου είπε ένα ψέμα για τον χιωτη επειδή με άκουσε να παιζω γρήγορα. Μου είπε: "Μη παίζεις γρήγορα!!! Ο χιωτης τα έπαιζε αργά και μετά έβαζε τον δίσκο στο γρήγορο..." και την επόμενη ημέρα έπαιξα τη "Φλόγα" του χιωτη στο 280.... Την επόμενη ημέρα! Από εκεί και μετά με έβγαλαν παιδί θαύμα.
Ο γνωστός ρεμπέτης Γιώργος Μαντέλης μου είχε πει κάποτε, πως εάν αφήσεις το όργανο (μπουζούκι) μια μέρα χωρίς μελέτη, εκείνο θα σε αφήνει δυο, θέλοντας να δώσει έμφαση στη μελέτη
Έτσι ακριβώς είναι. Δεν το έχω νιώσει αλλά στους περισσότερους ανθρώπους συμβαίνει.
¨Ποσες ώρες στα πρώτα βήματα σας φτάσατε να μελετάται?
Πάντα έλεγα η ποιοτική μελέτη είναι το παν.. Δεν ξεπέρασα ποτέ τις 3-4 ώρες. Αλλά η μελέτη ήταν ποιοτική και αυστηρή.

Τι κρατήσατε από τους δυο αυτούς μεγάλους καλλιτέχνες ? Τι σας έπνευσε σε αυτούς του δυο?
Κράτησα τα πάντα. Με ενέπνευσαν οι αποφάσεις που πήραν για τος μεγάλες αλλαγές και καλλιτεχνικά αλλά και σαν άνθρωποι... Όταν ο χιωτης έκανε τη μεγάλη αλλαγή μας δίδαξε ότι όλοι πρέπει να παλεύουμε για την εξέλιξη και το καλύτερο.
Συνεργαστήκατε με μεγάλους μουσικοσυνθέτες εντός και εκτος Ελλάδας. Ποια συνεργασία θα μείνει για μια ζωή στη μνήμη σας και γιατί?

Η μουσική δεν έχει όρια...το μπουζούκι έχει?
Το μπουζούκι είναι μουσικό όργανο που παιζει μουσικη. Δηλαδή παίζει κάτι που δεν έχει όριο. Πως θα βάλουμε όριο λοιπόν σε ένα όργανο;; Το θέμα είναι η αισθητική σε ο,τι κάνεις. Εγώ με το μπουζούκι μου παίζω τζαζ σε όλο τον κόσμο. Οπότε αφού το αποδέχεται ο κόσμος κάτι σημαίνει αυτό. Οι άνθρωποι βάζουμε τους φραγμούς και τα όρια. Τα όργανα περιμένουν τις εντολές...
Οι παλαιοί μεγάλοι οργανοπαίχτες του ρεμπέτικου /λαϊκού ήταν και μεγάλοι συνθετες ( Τσιτσάνης, Βαμβακάρης, Παπαϊωάννου, Χιώτης, Χατζηχρήστος κτλ)που μας άφησαν τεραστια μουσική κληρονομιά
Σήμερα υπάρχουν μεγάλοι και πολλοί δεξιοτέχνες..λίγοι όμως συνθέτουν και πολλοί λιγότεροι αναγνωρίζονται ως μουσικοσυνθέτες...Ποιος νομίζεται είναι ο λόγος?
Ο λόγος είναι ότι δεν τους ενδιαφέρει πραγματικά η μουσική. Η αλήθεια είναι ότι όταν παίρνεις πολλά χρήματα σαν εκτελεστής στη δισκογραφία και στα κέντρα, χάνεις το πρωταρχικό νόημα που είναι η μουσική. Αυτό όμως κάνει μεγάλο κακό στις καινούργιες γενιές. Κοιτούν το χρήμα μόνο. Η τέχνη είναι άλλο πράγμα και δεν το κάνουν..
Κατά τύχη άκουσα ένα δικό σας τραγούδι σας στο οποιο τραγουδάτε και αναγνώρισα μια καθαρά λαϊκή και όμορφη-δυνατή χροιά
Το τραγούδι το κάνω για πλάκα... Για προσωπική ευχαρίστηση χωρίς να του δίνω μεγάλη σημασία. Βέβαια ο κόσμος θέλει πολύ να τραγουδάω αλλά προς το παρόν του χαλάω το χατήρι :)
Τελικά το ταλέντο στη μουσική επικτείνεται πέρα από την δεξιοτεχνία σας σε μουσικά όργανα?
Εγώ δεν το ονομάζω δεξιοτεχνία. Είναι στενός όρος όπως και η ταχύτητα. Εγώ το ονομάζω ως τεχνική. Η τεχνική κρύβει μέσα της όλα τα αγαθά και τα φανερώνεις ανάλογα με την περίσταση. Και το αργό παιξιμο είναι τεχνικό... Όλες οι δυναμικές είναι μέσα στην τεχνική. Η μουσικοτητα είναι άλλο πράγμα. Είναι η γνώση και τα βιωματα. Αυτός ο συνδυασμός είναι ο τέλειος. Τεχνική - Γνώση – Βιώματα.
Πολλοί είναι οι φανατικό οπαδοί σας,,,πολλοί επίσης και οι κατακριτές σας
Οι αντιτιθέμενοι -στην αντίπερα όχθη- μιλούν για ταχύτητα χωρίς καθαρότητα. Έχω ακούσει sound clips στα οποια διακρίνω τα σημεία μη καθαρότητας
Δεν υπάρχουν σημεία "μη καθαρότητας". Αν σε 10.000.000 νότες δεν είναι καθαρές οι 100 τότε πιστεύω ότι η κριτική έχει σκοπιμότητα... Είμαι άνθρωπος. Όχι ρομπότ. Διαφορετικά θα μπαίνουμε όλοι στο midi. Το 100% του παιξιματος μου είναι πεντακάθαρο. Απόλυτη κριτική θα κάνει κάποιος μόνο αν ακούσει τους δίσκους μου ή βρεθεί σε ένα από τα live μου... Διαφορετικά αν περιμένει ότι το YouTube θα του δώσει την τέλεια ποιότητα εικόνας για έναν καλλιτέχνη τότε κάτι χάνει στην όλη ουσία.
Από την άλλη έχω ακούσει ταχύτατο κλιπ στο οποιο παίζεται και ενώ στην πραγματική του ταχύτητα οι notes ακούγονται να κάνουν buzzing και να μην είναι καθαρές, όταν το κομμάτι παιχτεί στη μιση του ταχύτητα μέσω πραγράμματος ήχου, οι νοτες ακούγονται καθαρότατες
Δεν ισχύει αυτό. Προφανώς κάτι δεν ακούτε καλά. Μόνο και μόνο ότι μπαίνετε στη διαδικασία να ρίξετε την ταχύτητα του κομματιού αυτό σημαίνει ότι δεν προλαβαίνετε να κάνετε αποκωδικοποίηση αυτού που ακούτε και να το κατανοήσετε.
Επίσης έχω ακούσει να παίζεται παλαιά λαϊκά και ρεμπέτικα τραγούδια καθαρότατα, και άλλες φορες όταν "ακροβατείτε" σε ρυθμους και influence jazz οι ήχοι από τις νοτες να μεταλλάσσονται σε μεταλλικούς και θαμπούς
Καλύτερα ακούστε τους δίσκους μου. Θα δείτε την πραγματικότητα χωρίς κόπο. Ξέρετε, ειναι πολύ εύκολο να πούμε ότι αυτός δεν είναι καθαρός... Αλλά στη πραγματικότητα δεν ισχύει. Έχω παίξει με τεραστιου μεγέθους μουσικους.. Δεν θα έπαιζαν ποτέ με κάποιον βρώμικο παιχτη. Πιστέψτε με...
Τελικά είναι τρόπος παιξίματος με περισσότερο τζαζ influense αυτό που κάποιοι σας κατακρίνουν ως "μη καθαρό παίξιμο?"
Οτι και αν είναι μου αρκεί το ότι δεν καταλαβαίνουν αυτό που ακούν αλλά παρ'όλ'αυτά κρίνουν με άνεση...
Τρίχορδοι εναντίων "τερτραχορδον"..τελικά γιατί αυτός ο διαχωρισμός για ένα όργανο που έχει αγαπηθεί τόσο πολύ ? Νιώσατε κάποια στιγμή στην καριέρα σας αυτόν τον διαχωρισμό από άλλους μουσικους?
Το νιώθω συνέχεια. Ένα μεγάλο ποσοστό τριχορδων με κατακρινουν. Όπως και μερικοί τετραχορδοι. Βέβαια οι φανατικοί μου θαυμαστές είναι πολλοί περισσότεροι από αυτούς. Έπεσα όμως από τα σύννεφα όταν άκουσα έναν πασίγνωστο μπουζουξη με μεγάλη καριέρα (μεγάλο σε ηλικία ο οποίος ζει) να κατηγορεί τον χιωτη... Δεν πίστευα στα αυτιά μου!!!
Ποιος έιναι ο καλύτερος κατά τι γνώμη σας μουσικός? Όχι ονομαστικά αλλα τι αρετές και τι "skills" θα πρέπει να έχει ο καλός μουσικός?
Ο μουσικός πρέπει να έχει ελεύθερο πνεύμα. Αυτή η οδός θα του χαρίσει καθαρότητα ψυχής και ευρύτερη αγάπη για όλους.
Τι θα συμβουλεύατε το μικρό παιδί που τώρα κάνει τα πρώτα βήματα του στο μπουζούκι και την μουσική?
Να μελετά και να ακούει τα πάντα. Να μη βάλει στη ζωή του μουσικές απαγορεύσεις. Να λειτουργεί με το "πρέπει" στη μελέτη και με τα όνειρα στη ζωή.
Ποια είναι τα μελλοντικά σχέδια τόσο στην σύνθεση με το μπουζούκι όσο και στην επαγγελματική καριέρα σας ? Κάποιες συναυλίες στο εξωτερικό και την Αμερική;
