Zozef's style decoration, following the Golden Ratio algorithm
Less is More!
The luthier , Giannis Tsoulogiannis sent me today a photograph from the completion of the unique pick guard decoration.
Faithful to my belief , -"a great bouzouki doesn't depend on the type/material of its decoration ",- I selected acrylic Celluloid for the pick-guard.
Only the sound hole and the fret inlays(tsampoukades) will be made by natural mother of pearl. The design of the pick-guard is being inspired by the 1950s Zozef's style decoration, following the Golden Ratio algorithm
The next days , the luthier will construct the sound-hole shape, using natural mother of pearl (white sea-shell)
Giannis, followed down to a T, the concept design of the pick-guard as you can easily see from the following photos.
