GuiZouk: An unexpected delay
Abalone natural sea shell instead of white MOP sea shell !
An unexpected delay ,in the Greek customs, for more than 3 weeks, postponed the delivery of the round natural sea shells which the luthier, Konstantin Tsopelas, had ordered from abroad. As a result the finalization of the GiuZouk's decoration got delayed.
When finally the package was delivered to luthier's workshop, to Konstantin's surprise, the package was containing round blue/green sea shells ( the ones we call abalone in US) instead of the Mother of Pearl white sea shells.
The design of this Erivan ( kitharo-bouzouko) is so " loaded" with half-round sea-shell accents, that the substitution of white sea shell to the blue /green abalone would create a "heavy" anesthetic overall appearance.
The luthier arranged a re-order of the white natural sea-shells, hopping that this time the delivery will be faster and accurate .Stay tuned !
