Traces of a legend

And the attention to detail!

As I opened my email today, a great surprise was waiting for me. The luthier had sent me the first two photos, from my pre-war style, trichordo construction.

A carpenter's cut, dating 90 years ago, from a very old mulberry tree, which was stored under ideal conditions all these years, will be used for the creation of my new bouzouki bowl.

A carved wooden rosette, identical to Stathopoulo's laouto rosette, with a total of 86 cuts and a great amount of work in micro-filing, will be decorating its sound hole.

At the first glance, the wooden decoration made by cypress tree, matching exactly the color scheme of my original design, will be beautifying the wooden pick guard.

Pieces of history, coming together as traces of a forgotten legend, will bring back to life, the beautiful trichordo era of the 1920s.
