An important part of Memories, "For sale"

A difficult decision has been made!

What an emotional time for me!..the decision to sell, two great instruments, very close to my heart, full of unforgettable memories!
The main core of this blog, my 1950s style tetrachordo, and the 1920s Pre-war style trichordo, just listed on EBAY for sale!

I will greatly miss both of them for separate reasons.

The tetrachordo:
I have not played any other tetrachordo bouzouki, by any other luthier, with this deep, clear, loud sound! And the sound of the LA strings, is the best quality sound I ever experienced. The sound produced by this instrument, is so deep and loud, that vibrates my stomach and lungs, every time I hold and play.

As for the trichordo, the woody, crisp, dry, sound of its strings, in combination with the beautiful old woods, the amazing rosette, its thin neck, and light body, makes it the best representative of the old Rebetiko era.

From the beautiful color of mulberry woods, to the amazing smell of the old woods and the rosette, to the "gomolaka" finish, this instrument will capture the player's five senses, immediately.

Responsible for this decision is no other than the luthier Giannis Tsoulogiannis, who mysteriously transferred into my veins, the virus of research (a dangerous virus which he is carrying for years), and transformed me without his intentions, from a simple bouzouki enthusiast, to an obsessive researcher.

The latest decision, -creating a historical hybrid laoutobouzouko of 1880s by his hands, -was my turning point!

I finally realized that, having in my possession traditional musical instruments, was a need created by my desire not only to play with them, but also to understand their construction, to investigate their sound behavior, and to decode their secrets.

The latest bouzouki attempt (the museum quality Steriano bouzouki),will acquire, a lot of time in research, a lot of time in construction, and a great amount of financial resources.

Please do not hesitate to contact me, in case you have any questions, regarding the two bouzouki instruments up for sale. It is still uncertain if I will keep the eBay listings, after this first and maybe last try!
